postdoctoral position at Duke University

Postdoctoral Research Fellow: Study Neural Circuit Formation and Regeneration using nematode C. elegans

A postdoctoral position focusing on studying Neural Circuit Formation and Regeneration using nematode C. elegans is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dong Yan (WBPerson7514) at Duke University Department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology, Durham, North Carolina (http://mgm.duke.edu/).

Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying neural circuit formation during development and regeneration following injury is of great interest to human health. Our long-term goal is to understand how individual neurons are assembled into neural circuits during development, and how neurons respond to injury in adulthood.

Duke University is an internationally recognized research institution. Postdoctoral appointees at Duke University receive a salary based on the NIH NRSA guidelines and a generous benefit package. Durham is a part of Research Triangle Region that combines the attractions of a major city with family-friendly and affordable lifestyle opportunities.
