Postdoctoral position at Texas A&M at LR Garcia Lab

A postdoctoral position is open in the laboratory of L. Rene Garcia at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. The lab studies how nutrition and age affect molecular components of neural muscular circuits that are involved in goal-oriented and motivated behaviors in male C. elegans. The ideal candidate should be versed in genetics, molecular biology and biochemistry protocols and should be enthusiastic in developing new techniques to address creative behavioral or developmental questions. The postdoctoral applicant will be allowed to completely take independent-initiated projects with them to start their own laboratory after he/she leaves the lab.
