Postdoctoral position in Behavior and Aging at the University of Pennsylvania

A postdoctoral position in Christopher Fang-Yen’s lab in the Departments of Bioengineering and Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

The candidate will use the WorMotel, a microfabricated multi-well device recently developed in our laboratory, to conduct automated high-throughput longitudinal measurements of C. elegans aging and behavior.
Potential projects include a genetic screen for differential regulators of lifespan and healthspan, studies of the mechanisms of lifespan variability in isogenic populations, and investigating the relationship between aging and behavioral quiescence.

Candidates with backgrounds in biology, engineering, or the physical sciences are welcome to apply. Experience with C. elegans, aging biology, microscopy, and computer programming are desirable, but not required.
