Postdoctoral position in neurobiology, Melbourne, Australia

A postdoctoral position is available in Dr Brent Neumann’s nervous system development and repair laboratory at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. The position will commence in early 2016.

The Neumann lab uses C. elegans to study developmental neurobiology, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms that normally function to prevent axonal degeneration, and the mechanisms of axonal regeneration after injury to the nervous system. We use a combination of genetics, molecular biology, and microscopy techniques to identify key molecules and mechanisms regulating these fascinating biological processes. Please visit our lab website for more information: http://www.neumannlab.com.

Applicants should have a PhD in cellular or molecular biology, genetics, or a related field, and previous experience with C. elegans is desirable.

Applications are now open at the Monash Jobs website (http://www.jobs-monash.jxt.net.au/academic-jobs/postdoctoral-research-fellow-neumann-laboratory-/498845). Applications close December 8th, 2015.
