A postdoctoral position is available in the Troemel lab at the University of California, San Diego. We use C. elegans to study questions of host/pathogen interactions in the intestine, focusing on bacterial pathogens as well as a recently discovered natural intracellular pathogen of C. elegans, which is a new species of microsporidia.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and should have expertise in molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry. Experience with C. elegans is desirable, but not necessary. If interested, please send a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae and a list of three references to
