Postdoctoral Positions at the University of Chicago

The lab of Dr. Paschalis Kratsios at the University of Chicago has opened two postdoctoral positions for researchers with an interest in molecular neurobiology. The Kratsios lab follows a not commonly employed approach by combining the specific strengths of two model organisms (the nematode C.elegans and the mouse) to identify the molecular mechanisms that control motor neuron diversity and disease. Candidates with expertise in molecular biology, genetics and neurobiology should submit a curriculum vitae, 2-3 reference letters and a statement of career goals to Dr. Paschalis Kratsios (pkratsios@uchicago.edu). For more info on the Kratsios lab, please visit www.kratsioslab.org. This position provides guaranteed funding for at least 2 years. Anticipated start date: Winter/Spring/Summer 2017. Applicants are also encouraged to work together with Dr. Kratsios, so that they can formulate a competitive proposal for a postdoctoral fellowship from the Chicago Fellows Program (https://biologicalsciences.uchicago.edu/page/chicago-fellows).
