Postdoctoral positions are available in the Lapierre lab in the department of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Brown University (For more info: Lapierre, Louis).
Our NIH-funded research program is focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of aging and longevity by studying transcriptional and metabolic regulations of proteostatic processes, including the autophagy/lysosomal pathway. Our ultimate goal is to find solutions to prevent age-related diseases, such as neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, ALS, etc.) and metabolic diseases (fatty liver, obesity, etc.).
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related fields.
Experience with C. elegans is an asset
Experience in Biostatistics is an asset
Proficiency in spoken and written English is necessary
Great communication and teamwork skills are essential
Advanced analytical and conceptual skills are requisite
