Thirty five years ago the CGC started up at the University of Missouri, nearly 10 years before the first Drosophila Stock Center…Now I’m not one for partisan gestures, but having recently come across this brief article written about the University of Indiana’s Drosophiila Stock Center (milestones, great resource, etc)

I wondered whether we should also be pushing Minnesota and the CGC and the worm community in general to write something? After all, we have access to a fantastic resource that needs continued support if it’s to stay around…we’ve produced more laureates and worms are cooler than flies.
Perhaps a big cheese in the worm world could write a brief article with the CGC and send it somewhere?
