Scientific Account Manager

Our growing e-verified biotech startup, NemaLife Inc., is looking for a Scientific Account Manager for a full time, salaried position. We are looking for a Ph.D. degree candidate with life sciences training who is willing to work hard, learn new techniques, and grow together with our company. This is a remote opportunity, not restricted to Lubbock, TX.
During day-to-day operations, you will be primarily responsible for remotely overseeing the completion of the academic/ business client studies, keeping in touch with both the clients and our lab. This role requires both a project manager and a business liaison mindset. Additional tasks include remote training and marketing material development.
You will also work on groundbreaking scientific and engineering projects that require a broad understanding of life sciences and a creative mindset.
Starting salary, benefits, and equity depend on experience and skills, the bonus depends on performance.

Education required:

Ph.D.

Experience required:

At least 12 months of hands-on experience with C. elegans
At least 12 months mammalian tissue culture (ideally 3D or organoid) experience
Excellent scientific vocabulary and understanding of basic and advanced Life Sciences fields like genetics, physiology, biochemistry, methodologies like brightfield and fluorescent microscopy, basic analytical chemistry, PCR, qPCR, bioinformatics & biostatistics, RNAi, molecular cloning, etc.
Excellent communication and management skills
Writing scientific manuscripts, grants, and reports. (References required.)
FDA and EPA regulatory compliance experience is a plus
Pharmaceutical drug development (especially discovery and preclinical phase) experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

Create and manage academic and business accounts
Project management of ongoing NIH grants
Write scientific grants, manuscripts, and reports
Occasionally represent the company at scientific and business conferences
Train new academic clients and occasionally give on-site demonstrations for prospective customers (after COVID restrictions are lifted)
Prepare marketing materials and manage social media accounts.

Location: Full time remote, US work authorization required
