Submissions for the RGD Calendar
### RGD is accepting photos and other content for the 2024 RGD Rat Calendar!
We need your cute/fun/charming, high-resolution photos of rats as well as digital images of other types of rat-centric artwork such as drawings, paintings and cartoons of rats which you have drawn/painted. If your animals are camera shy or if you prefer to express yourself with words, how about submitting poems, sayings or other text which you have written that you would like to see included in the calendar? RGD is also accepting photos of other animals we currently house data for including dog, chinchilla, 13-lined ground squirrel, pig, naked mole rat, green monkey (vervet) and bonobo.
As you might expect, we are all about the rat strain data and giving credit where credit is due, so when sending photos of your favorite strains, don’t forget to include information such as strain symbol and name, developer of the strain and any associated citations or references. If you are submitting photos of pet rats, please include information such as their names, ages, and breed/color/markings. In addition, we are happy to include a link to an applicable website in the photo caption so if you, or your lab, have a web page, please also include the URL in your submission.
Please send high quality digital images as .jpg or .png, and other submissions, as attachments to us at RGD.Community@mcw.edu by Monday, October 2, 2023.
As our “Thank You!” to any submitters, and the rat research community for your ongoing support, we will mail hard copies of the 2024 Rat Calendar. Please send an email with your name, shipping address and how many calendars you would like to the email address above (or use the “Contact Us” link at the top of any RGD page). This year we are reinstating the limit of five calendars per request/person. If you need a larger quantity of calendars for your entire group, please contact us. The calendar will also be available, once published, on our download site as a high-resolution PDF.
