Research technician: EMBL/CRG Systems Biology Unit, Barcelona

We are looking for a Research Technician to join an expanding team at the EMBL/CRG Systems Biology Unit in Barcelona, Spain.

Our lab is part of the EMBL/CRG Systems Biology Unit, which is located in the Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona and affiliated to the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (www.crg.es/ben_lehner). The Unit is a unique focus for systems biology research in Europe and is supported by outstanding core funding. The institute is located in state-of-the-art facilities with a beautiful beachfront location in the centre of Barcelona - quite possibly the best location of any laboratory in the world…

The lab primarily uses C. elegans as a model system, and consists of both experimental and computational biologists. Applicants with experience of working with C. elegans are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be responsible for looking after the day-to-day running of the laboratory and for helping other researchers with their projects. They will also have the opportunity to develop their own research projects, if they desire. Applicants should have a degree in molecular biology or a related subject, should possess suitable laboratory experience. They should be friendly and cooperative with excellent organisation skills.
