Research Technician Position in Greer Lab, Harvard Medical School Boston MA USA

A research technician position is available in the Greer lab (http://www.childrenshospital.org/directory/researchers/g/eric-greer) in Children’s Hospital Boston/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

We are setting up a new lab aimed at deciphering the molecular mechanisms of heritable epigenetics. We will use the nematode C. elegans, mouse, and mammalian tissue culture systems to study how non-genetic information can be transmitted across generations. We will use a wide variety of genetic, biochemical, and molecular techniques to decipher this complex question.

The Greer lab strives to be a place of fun, collegiality, and collaboration. The successful candidate would help start the lab by purchasing and organizing equipment and reagents, performing experiments, and general lab management. A bachelor’s degree in biology or related field and a commitment of at least 2 years are required. C. elegans and/or mouse experience is a big plus though not required.

Interested candidates should send a letter of interest along with a curriculum vitae and contact information for references to eric.greer@childrens.harvard.edu.
