RGD announces an updated virtual comparative mapping tool VCMap. VCMap facilitates genomic visualization of synteny between species on a gene, region, or chromosome level. This will promote discovery of genetic elements responsible for quantitative trait variation. The user interface provides chromosomal level views optimized for comparison of regions and gene localization across species to meet the ultimate researcher-driven goal of comparative genomics. This is a beta version release and we would very much appreciate user feedback for improvements. VCMap can be accessed HERE. |
