SBP antibody Santa Cruz for IF

Hi all! Has anyone ever used an anti-SBP antibody from Santa Cruz for immunofluorescence? Or from any other company? Thanks!

Hi!

In our experience both the Santa Cruz (polyclonal) and Millipore (m2121) monoclonal for SREBP-1 give a background band that’s around the size of the processed protein in immunoblots, so I’m not sure I would trust them in IF. So, be sure to use sbp-1(RNAi) as a control if you are trying out antibodies from different companies. I would suggest getting the GFP::SBP-1 from the CGC instead of immunoblotting.
