seam cell specific promoter

Hi All,

Does anyone here know of a seam cell specific promoter ? I came across a paper which seemed to suggest that ceh-16 promoter is specific to seam cells. Are there any other such promoters which have been confirmed to be giving seam cell speific expression?

Any suggestion/past experience in this regard would be really useful.

I find that the Moerman lab’s expression database, gfpworm.org, is quite useful to identify potential tissue specific promoters. Apparently ceh-16 is not specific to the seam cells, as it is also expressed in some neurons, too.

However, grd-10 seems like a safe bet: http://www.gfpworm.org/strain?name=BC13248.
