Senior Research Assistant Position at UCSF, San Francisco

The Foundations of Cognition Laboratory at University of California at San Francisco,
headed by principal investigator Saul Kato, encourages motivated researchers with C. elegans
wet lab experience to apply for a position in our lab.

We use the worm to study basic questions of brain function and dysfunction. We seek to
understand the fundamental question of how brains produce behavior. We are fundamentally
hypothesis and theory driven, and we employ and develop a variety of cutting-edge experimental
and computational approaches, including CRISPR/MosSci, optogenetics, high speed volumetric microscopy, and
quantitative behavior. We are looking for creative, motivated, careful, and flexible scientists who like to dive
in and solve new problems.

We are part of the new Weill Institute for Neurosciences at UCSF: weill.ucsf.edu. It is a VERY exciting
time to be at UCSF and we are thrilled to be doing great science here in sunny Mission Bay, SF. Come join us.
