SMYTE 2024 Registration is open!

SMYTE 2024 is coming up Aug 28-Sept 1, 2024 at the University of York, UK. Registration and abstract submission is now open - https://www.smyte2024.com.

28 August 2024 – 1 September 2024

The 39th Small Meeting on Yeast Transport and Energetics (SMYTE) meeting will be held at the University of York, United Kingdom. This will be held 28th August - 1st September 2024. There will be a series of exciting talks, including keynote speakers, to showcase new and unpublished research in the field. The event will be interspersed with posters and socialising opportunities, to maximise networking and to enjoy the historic city of York.

There will be talks spanning structure, function and regulation of transport across different fungal membranes, including various pathogenic and non-pathogenic species. An array of cellular processes regulated by transport and bioenergetic mechanisms will be discussed, for example, homeostatic control, physiology under normal and stress conditions, and contributors to drug resistance. All career stages will be represented across the scientific programme, so early career researchers, postdocs and students are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration.

Accommodation, seminars, poster sessions, and meals will mainly be held on site at the University of York main campus, but a social programme that encompasses more of the city will also be included. Specific details, along with the scientific programme, will be released in due course.

By train, York is ~2 hours from England’s capital, London and ~2.5 hours from Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh. Therefore, the 39th SMYTE is not only very accessible but also a great base should you want to vacation in the UK during your visit.
