Special edition of Genes related to screens and phenotypes

We are editing a Special Issue on “Screens, Genes, and Phenotypes” in the journal Genes (ISSN 2073-4425; IF 4.096).

We are trying to provide opportunity and space for important results that can be biased against in other publication forums because they are “incomplete.” Too often results that scientists could potentially use (both positive and negative results) never see the light of day because the labor to make them “complete” is too large a cost. Screens, Genes, and Phenotypes is conceived to provide an outlet for those results.
We welcome original research articles, reviews and communications dedicated to the advancement of our understanding of genes, genetics, and phenotypes in any increment.

The submission deadline is 10 June 2022, but manuscripts that pass the peer-review process will be published immediately after acceptance and revision. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. If you have a project that fits this special topic please consider submitting it, alternatively this deadline could provide enough time to develop a project and complete a manuscript given the nature of the topic. If you are interested in contributing, please kindly send a tentative title/short abstract via email to me and the office of Genes ([sophie.sun@mdpi.com]) after which you can submit your full paper online any time before the deadline.

Genes is an online, peer-reviewed, open access journal, with more than 3000 published manuscripts, indexed in major scholarly databases (SCIE, PubMed, and Scopus). As an online open access journal, papers published in Genes receive rapid publication, immediate accessibility, and high publicity.

To support open access, Article Processing Charges (APC) of 2400 CHF currently apply to all accepted papers. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously received a discount code or if your institute is participating in the MDPI Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP).

For further details on the submission process, please see the instructions for authors at the journal website (as a new member, I am not allowed to include links ).
