Hello everyone,
I’m trying to find a strain that simply expresses cytosolic GFP during the first embryonic stages (1-8 cell stages), without fusion to another protein.
So I was looking for a pie-1p::GFP strain, and I found one in the CGC database: ABR5, used by Greer et al (2010).
By Greer et al, it was used as an empty vector control, and I would like to know whether the GFP will be normally expressed in the cytosol, or will it be degraded, or will something other happen?
Alternatively, does anybody know a strain expressing a non-protein-fused fluorophore? My goal is understanding cytosolic diffusion, which demands a ubiquituous cytosolic marker that does not interact with other proteins and the membranes.
I’d be glad if you could help me!
