Sub-lethal G418 or cyclohexamide dosage in C.elegans?

Has anyone ever tried growing worms on a translational inhibitor, like Geneticin (G418) or cyclohexamide? Do you have dosing information I could use? Thanks.

You might try looking at some of the results of this search, in particular the Reape and Burnell papers (the third one, missing from those search results, is listed at Ann Burnell’s Wormbase Person page), which are in a journal apparently missing from Medline and look extremely relevant.

There’s also a a 2003 Worm Meeting abstract from Slone and Chamberlin, containing the following:

Wild-type L1 larvae hatched onto NGM plates with 50 mg/mL G418 fail to grow into L4 larvae or adults after two days, whereas L1 larvae on normal NGM plates or those supplemented with 20 mg/mL or less of G418 develop into fertile adults.

Thanks for the information it really helps people in their research and this forum really helps all of us especially to us newbies. And this could also be a guide to us.
