Hello, I have been trying to dissolve the drug rotenone in different media, but with no luck. Looking up the literature shows people who work with worms (and cell culture) and this drug use DMSO. But I tried dissolving it in 99.9% and 0.05% DMSO; only poorly dissolves. Same with water, ethyl alcohol, chloroform. What other way is there to make a solution of this drug? Should I add solid rotenone to NGM when pouring plates, or when I am growing bacteria in LB medium? This is an important step in my thesis, and any kind of suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Have you tried DMSO with PEG?
