The Sun lab in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State University is currently accepting applications for a technician position. A variety of optogenetics, genomic, proteomic, immunological, and neurobiological approaches are being used by the Sun lab to study the role of the nervous system in the regulation of immune homeostasis, longevity, and proteostasis. The primary responsibilities of the technician are to process and analyze genomic and proteomic data in support of scientific research, deliver well annotated code and analysis, write scientific reports, prepare data analysis results for publication, submit datasets to and retrieve datasets from public databases, manage and archive datasets for the laboratory, participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions, present scientific and technical data to colleagues, and perform related duties as required.
