Technician Position, Walker Lab UMASS Worcester (updated)

Join the vibrant C. elegans community at UMASS Worcester. Technician opening in the Walker lab to study lipid metabolism in C. elegans and in mammalian cell culture. We are trying to understand how diet and environment influence transcriptional/epigenetic regulation of lipid biosynthesis genes. Candidates with experience using C. elegans and an interest in metabolism, nutrition and obesity are encouraged to apply to an open position for a research technician. Responsibilities will include assays for lipid accumulation and gene expression, nematode maintenance, basic molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.
