Temporary research position at Syngenta (Berkshire, UK). Syngenta is one of the largest Agribusinesses in the world. We use C. elegans as a tool for understanding the mechanism of action of candidate pesticides. Techniques include image analysis of symptoms and phenotypes, forward genetic screens for resistance, reverse genetics and transgenesis. We have a 9 month position starting in April 2008. The job is a great opportunity for anyone curious to experience industrial science.
