GENERAL INFORMATION

The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor appointment in Neurobiology to begin in August 2017. Specific courses will include an intermediate level, neurobiology-related course with accompanying lab and a neurobiology-related course for non-majors. An ability to contribute to both the biology department’s introductory sequence and the new interdisciplinary neuroscience program is essential. This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full salary, one-semester research leave prior to tenure review, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. Tenure-track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching at the introductory and advanced levels and be prepared to develop an active research program in which engaged undergraduate students may meaningfully participate. A Ph.D. is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
