Thrash assay

Hi everybody, I have two questions about thrash assay:

  1. How to transfer worms to M9 buffer without bacteria?
  2. Is there any software we can use to count the thrash?

Any input is appreciated, thank you

Hi,

as you might expect, there are a variety of approaches, but a simple answer to 1. is to place your worms on an NGM plate for a short period before putting them into the M9.

The answer to 2. is yes, this is one example:

  1. place the worm in a plate without op50 and fromthere transfer it to M9
  2. We generally use worm microtracker.
