Two postdoc positions in neuroimmunology and aging

Under the direction of the overseeing faculty member, the two Postdoctoral Research Associates will plan and conduct experiments to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in neuroimmunology, aging or neurodegenerative diseases in the Sun lab at WSU (Jingru Sun | Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine | Washington State University). S/he is responsible for data collection, analysis, report, and manuscript preparation for publications. Conducts experiments and related research directed toward ultimate publication and preparation of articles for publication. Collect, record, verify scientific data; compile in formation in support of research; apply knowledge and skills applicable to an assigned technical discipline. Reports research progress and findings to the principal investigator; present and disseminate research progress and findings in lab meetings, national or international conferences. Records and maintains experimental details, including but not limit to experimental plans, designs, progresses, results, and findings in lab notes. Responsible to make and maintain animal/pathogen/plasmid stocks, and other necessary stocks.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, neurobiology, or similar field, with a proven track record of creativity and productivity. Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have strong oral/written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include extensive prior research experience with C. elegans.
