Description:
Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the Mangone Lab at Arizona State University.
The Mangone lab is interested in the functional genomics and genetics of post-transcriptional gene regulation.
The research plan centers on three aims:
- To study tissue-specific 3’UTR isoforms and their processing mechanism.
- To investigate miRNA target recognition in vivo in humans.
- To use C. elegant to dissect genetic networks controlled by selected RNA-binding proteins and to to study their role in human diseases.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology or related field. Expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry and in C. elegans biology is required.
Experience in handling high-throughput experiments is desirable.
