URL format for finding a location in WB?

How do I format the URL to open a browser and go straight to the correct web page
in wormbase starting with just the location, e.g. “IV:12268375…12268988”?

What do you mean by correct web page? Are you talking about the genome browser?

Like… http://www.wormbase.org/tools/genome/gbrowse/c_elegans/?name=IV:12268375..12268988 ?

Or, are you trying to navigate to a gene (page) whose coordinates map to that location? I don’t think the latter is possible (please WB Team correct me if I’m wrong). If you have a ton of data that uses coordinates like that, you’re better off playing with WormMine and Excel, converting your coordinates to WB Gene #s (ie. WBGene00166374) and just build a URL with the WB gene number after (ie. http://www.wormbase.org/species/c_elegans/gene/WBGene00166374).

The former - thanks that’s what I was after.
