What 'Annotation issues' is good for

‘Annotation issues’ is intended for WormBase curators or other interested “genome miners” to post observations of unusual regions of the genome(s) that might be of interest to the community. For example, they can point out genes whose structures they are not able to satisfactorily resolve, because of a lack of evidence. One may also point out other unusual features in the genome that may be worth looking at in more detail.

These regions may then make suitable topics for student projects to provide the required evidence for the gene structure etc…

Please publish your work or submit sequences to EMBL/DDJB/GenBank so that it can be cited as evidence for curation.

Thanks,
Gary
