I have a question about saving worm stocks.
when you save worm stocks, do you directly place your worm stocks in -80 freezer? or do you leave your worm stocks at -20 freezer for 4~5 hours, and then take them out and put them in -80 freezer?
Thank you very much for your help.
You should follow the standard protocol; I recommend the version in Michael Koelle’s protocols, which is very well written out and easy to follow.
This means that you do not put the worms in the -20 freezer; you put them in a styrofoam container and place that directly in the -80 for about a day, before moving the tubes to cardboard boxes in the -80 or to canes in a liquid nitrogen dewar.
Thanks a lot!
