Why C. elegans doesn't suffer somatic tumor?

It’s known that even in the mutants with extremely extened life-span, there’e no tumor developed in somatic tissue of C. elegans.
Does that suggest the requisite of stem cell or in tumor development ?
Has anyone tried to development somatic tumor in C. elegans by trangenic method ?
I’m eager to know your opinion.

There is no cell division in the adult soma. Only the germline continues to proliferate, and germline tumors have been reported.

in some heterochronic mutant backgrounds, e.g., lin-4(lf), stem cell-like divisions continue in somatic tissues since the worms keep molting but never reach adult.

people have tried to create transgenic lines that can be used to obtain stem cells for cell culture but as far as i know that has not been successful.
