The link http://www.wormbase.org/tools/blast_blat from the Wormbase main page is not working for me anymore.

I get the same error. I assume you sent in a bug report?
The NCBI can do C. elegans BLAST searches. Probably not as convenient, but should tide you over until the site is fixed.
